A Game Changing Train the Trainer
Anyone who has been to a 261 Fearless Train the Trainer to become a coach will know that something very special happens during these courses.
There’s a palpable magic in the air as women bond through their desire to share their love of running with other women in their community. Our coaches say that they will never forget their training experience and tears are not uncommon in the eyes of candidates (and trainers!) as women are moved and lasting friendships are formed.
Our most recent Train the Trainer was an extra special one. 261 Fearless is lucky to have adidas as our global sponsor and they are supporting us in a very exciting project. Our mission is to help ALL women to enjoy the benefits of running and that includes some of the harder to reach women in the world. Pulling on your trainers and going for a run is sadly not a privilege that all women enjoy. Many women are disempowered and don’t have the opportunity to run. There are women however who are determined to change that and with the help and support of adidas and 261 Fearless, these are our 261 Game Changers.
This Train the Trainer was truly international with women from India, Democratic Republic of Congo, Albania, India, Italy, Austria, the USA and the UK present. The international languages of laughter and running (and help from a translator!) allowed these women to learn together and progress through the curriculum of becoming 261 Fearless coaches. Spending three days at the wonderful adidas headquarters, sharing life experiences, cultural differences and running stories, made for an intense but exhilarating atmosphere. Everyone present knew they were part of something very special. As a treat, adidas had arranged a tour of their campus with a visit to the product testing labs, the archive museum and the creator workshop where everyone got to design and make their own mini running trainer. Each new coach was given a full set of adidas kit and trainers to equip them for their role. All the women successfully completed the course and became certified 261 Fearless Coaches.
For our game changers, this is just the beginning. Their task is now to return to their communities and establish their running clubs. It is not going to be easy. There will be highs and lows, seemingly impossible hurdles and barriers, but these women are brave and fearless. Keep an eye on our social media feeds because we will be following every detail of their journeys. After an incredible weekend we firmly believe these women are 261 game changers and can change the lives of women in their communities through running. We can’t wait to watch them do it.
We're always looking to grow our network of empowered women around the world, so if you're interested in becoming a club leader in your area and are ready to take on our Train the Trainer course, please get in touch with us! Apply NOW!

I'm interested in becoming a trainer for the experience and so the Blaisdell YMCA could start a meetup.I used to be an avid runner but have taken the last 4 years off. Would I still be eligible to be a trainer if I'm just starting running again?
